Bank Energi
Decarbonising Buildings
As part of the ongoing Innovate UK Energy Revolution project, Bank Energi is a medium sized ongoing, evolving project to decarbonising buildings, generate, store, exchange and pool energy in and around London’s Southbank. Part funded by the UK Government’s ISCF programme, the Bank Energi project will identify ways of reducing energy demand, generating local energy, improving local air quality and – crucially – saving local bodies up to 20% from their fuel bills through smarter use of energy assets and a local energy trading scheme. On the sunny (and foggy) rooftops of London’s southbank we explored multiple partners efforts to progress to net zero carbon emissions, concentrating on technologies such as heat exchanges and solar pv panels.
