Medical Simulation
Medical Simulation provides students and clinicians with the opportunity to learn, rehearse and perfect procedure on human patient simulators. The objective of Medical Simulation is to improve clinical competency and reduce the estimated 1-5% of deaths that occur in hospitals due to human error. Sophisticated simulators can be programmed to respond to injected drugs and re-create life threatening emergencies. The use of moulage, props, fake blood, imitation hospital waiting rooms and synthetic stomach contents add realism.
